Young people are a powerhouse of ideas and energy in our Church. We are delighted at how they take on specialist tasks and take responsibility for roles in our community. For example they:
- Developed the website from inception to delivery, with expert support;
- Play a key role in liturgies as Servers, Readers or Eucharistic Ministers;
- Form part of the welcome teams at Masses;
- Work with the children’s liturgy to share their faith with younger ones;
- Future projects include a 360 degree tour of our church in partnership with the website team.
We have a programme of projects that the group is to tackle in the coming year and we hope that they enjoy them, as well as the “just for fun” events.
A new Confirmation programme is being developed by the diocese and will be offered in partnership with Catholic schools. Please watch this space for developments. Our programme is challenging, fast paced and, dare we say it, funny!
